Description

Yum or Yuck? You get to decide!

Chesterfield County Public Schools invites students and parents to taste food being considered for school breakfast and lunch at the annual Food Fair on April 5 at Clover Hill High. There will be two tastings: one from 6-7 p.m., and the second from 7-8 p.m.

Attendee feedback will help shape next year's breakfast and lunch menus. Rave reviews from previous food fairs have helped the Chesterfield County Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services bring exciting new food choices to our students, which is why we ask that you make sure to bring your student with you as we want to know what they like, too!

From chicken, bacon and ranch pizza to strawberry sweet rolls, students and their families will have the opportunity to tickle their taste buds with a variety of creative options. Under the vision of Chef Sarah Church, the Department of Food and Nutrition Services strives to provide food that is not only healthy, but appeals to the tastebuds of our students.

In addition to food samples, the Food Fair will include displays about nutrition, the Nutrislice app and information about how to apply to work in school cafeterias.

This free Food Fair is open to all families with children in Chesterfield County Public Schools. The event is free, but online registration is required. Families can register up to four people; at least one parent MUST accompany students. Please sign up for only one time period.

Registration starts at 7 p.m. March 27; tickets have been requested rapidly in previous years, so be ready to reserve your tickets promptly at 7 p.m. Details about potential allergens will be posted at each food station.
